Why do flies land on humans

Flies and man

With the onset of spring, countless small insects are activated. Are no exception and flies, a characteristic feature of which is importunity. They are attracted to the microclimate of human housing, warmth and the large amount of available food. Moreover, these annoying insects annoy not only their buzzing, but also crawling through our body. Why flies sit on people or what attracts people to them, there are several reasons.

Entomologists opinion

Referring to the opinion of experts, food and heat are the main reasons why flies land on humans. Flies climb to a person not just out of a desire to annoy him. These creatures are in constant search of food. Indeed, for flight, an individual spends a large amount of energy. No less than it is necessary for laying eggs, in connection with which, there is a need for protein and nutrients. For many, it may seem strange, but it is their insects that are found on the human body.

Interesting!

The mouth apparatus of the fly is adapted only for the absorption of soft food. Moreover, this process facilitates the language, divided into two separate channels, for each of which food is absorbed.

Flies are annoying due to the fact that they are very attracted to the aroma of the human body, exfoliated particles of the epidermis, fat, sweat and healthy salts. Moving over the skin, they examine it with their paws, since it is on them that taste buds are located. Having discovered something edible, the insect treats the skin with saliva, dissolving sebaceous secretions and sweat particles, which contain salts of phosphoric acid, potassium and calcium, as well as protein metabolism products (uric acid, ammonia, urea, lactic acid and amino acids). All this is a favorite delicacy of obsessive and annoying creatures.

Why annoy in the morning

Most often, annoying insects sit on people in the morning because during sleep the latter are less mobile. As long as their body does not move, the flies will "do their job." These creatures are not aware of a sense of tact, so they stick to the "last". At the slightest movement, insects immediately fly off, while calming their "prey" they return again. No flies and good memory: in spite of the desire of man kill the fly, after a few seconds, the adhering creature is able to stick to the body again.

Another reason insects stick to humans is the heat coming from the human body. Cold-blooded creatures always use external sources of heat: they tend to sit on our body to warm up a bit. Therefore, not wanting the insects to disturb, it is necessary to protect themselves from them by installing mosquito nets on the windows, by purchasing special sticky tapes or fumigators.
